Prices on Mauritius vary greatly, depending on how good you are at bargaining, where you are trading and with whom. Are you dining at finer hotels, you will probably pay the same as you pay for a dinner at a restaurant in Denmark. (200 DKK) However, if you visit the local restaurants in Mauritius, then it is likely that you will get a fine dinner including wine or beer for somewhere inbetween 80-120 DKK per person.
Trips on the island come in any price ranges. It can be worthwhile to make use of a local known (or me 🙂 ) to get your money’s worth.
Taxi and driving is a question of bargaining, since the taxi industry in Mauritius does not have anything that comes close to a taximeter. It can hence be a good idea to use the villa’s private chauffeur, or the company Mauriclick, which drives for both day-trips and shorter variants for affordable prices.
If you want to rent a car, then you can easily book one on the internet, or ask me to book a car for you through the company Mauriclick, which is my partner.
